We are grateful that we get to experience another day of mercies, and can spend it together, studying Your word. Thank You for Your mercies that are new each morning. As we read Your word, we ask that You would grow us into the likeness of Christ, and help us to put off the old ways, habits and sins that we have indulged in. Help us to be engaged with Your word, and to seek to understand it. We ask that You renew our minds as we study Your word. Renew our minds as we dig into Your word, and give us understanding. Thank You for giving us access to not only own our own copies of the bible, but for the ability to meet together to study Your word. We are grateful for the gift of Your word. Grant us humility as we open Your word, and fill us with Your words of life. Please help us to not only study Your word so that we can increase in knowledge, but help us to study Your word so we can apply it, and grow in grace. I ask that You would be in our midst, and that You Holy Spirit would give us understanding. Thank You for gathering us together to study Your word today. Help us not grow in our relationship with You, and to grow in our knowledge and love for Your word. Please help us to submit our hearts to what Your word teaches, and convict us in the areas where we need it most.
